The directions to the Hotel SONNALP in Maurach am Achensee

By car from the north (D):

Coming from Munich/Salzburg, get on the toll-free route to Maurach: A8 Munich to the motorway exit Holzkirchen – Tegernsee – Achenpass or Bad Tölz – Achenkirch. Then, drive along the Lake Achensee to Maurach.

By car from the east (AT, D)

Drive along the Inn river on the Inntal motorway A12 (toll sticker required): Kufstein – Wörgl – exit 39 "Wiesing-Achensee". Then, follow the B 181 to Maurach for 10 km.

By car from the west (CH, D)

Drive via Feldkirch - Landeck - Innsbruck. Follow the A12 towards Salzburg to Jenbach and take exit 43 "Wiesing-Achensee". Then travel 10 km on the B 181 to Maurach. Tolls are charged on this route.

Please note: A toll sticker is required!

All highways and motorways in Austria require a toll sticker. Toll stickers are available in numerous shops in Austria and abroad. In the event of a breach of the obligation as a driver, you will be fined. Therefore, we recommend that you take care of the purchase of the toll sticker (vignette) in good time and stick it directly on the windscreen; otherwise, it will not be valid.

Take the train to the Jenbach station, which is about 6 km from Maurach.

Do you prefer to take a taxi or public bus from Jenbach station to the hotel? No problem! The journey from Jenbach station to Maurach takes only a few minutes. Thanks to the AchenseeCard, the bus transfer from Jenbach to Lake Achensee and back is free of charge. You will only be asked to show the bus driver your reservation confirmation for the Hotel Sonnalp.

For bookings of one week, a taxi transfer from Jenbach station to Maurach is free of charge (only valid when booking directly through our hotel, but not when booking via an online booking platform). Please let us know at the time of booking.

During your stay at the hotel, we lend you trekking bikes (free of charge) and e-bikes (for a fee). You can also enjoy a ride on the oldest steam cog railway in Europe.

The airport Innsbruck is only 45 km away. You can also reach the Hotel Sonnalp via Salzburg Airport and Munich Airport.

The "Four Seasons Travel" airport taxis will take you from the airport directly to your hotel and back at a reasonable price.
