From our house in Maurach, you can set off for your expeditions directly through the snow-covered mountain world of Tyrol. A total of 150 km of cleared winter hiking trails are waiting to be explored by you. For example, walk from Maurach along the lake promenade and the lakeside path to Buchau. The snow-covered peaks, together with Lake Achensee, form a uniquely beautiful backdrop. The Karwendel valleys are car-free in winter, which makes winter hiking at Lake Achensee a particularly intensive nature experience.

Snowshoeing also conjures up a very special magic. Snowshoes carry you over the deep snow into beautiful snow landscapes. You can roam the deep snow-covered forests and may even discover traces of animals in the fresh snow.
